Set outside lights – darker evenings mean you need to turn on your outdoor lights or amend the time settings. If you’re selling your home, it is important that you do this so that potential purchasers can see your home.

Close the curtains – by ensuring you close your curtains when it’s dark you’re keeping your home both warmer and more energy efficient!

Check your alarms - when moving your clocks backwards make sure you check your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms too – if you’re a landlord it might be prudent to remind your tenant to this also.
