Pinkertons announce corporate partnership with Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke
Over the next 12 months Pinkertons will work closely with the charity on a range of fundraising initiatives.
Today in Northern Ireland 10 people will suffer a heart attack, 11 people will have a stroke and 1 in every 8 deaths will result from respiratory failure. In addition to this over 200,000 people are living with long term chest, heart, or stroke conditions. In fact, 40% of adult deaths in Northern Ireland are from chest, heart or stroke conditions.ern Ireland are from chest, heart or stroke conditions.
Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke has particular resonance with one of Pinkertons’ Directors Victoria Pinkerton as her father passed away in 2003 due to a sudden heart attack.
Speaking on the announcement Victoria said “The effects of a chest, heart or stroke illness is not just physical; it affects suffers emotionally and socially, and whilst timely and effective medical intervention is essential, people with long term health conditions also need support and guidance to manage their conditions, and lives on a daily basis. This is why we have chosen Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke as our Charity Partner for the next twelve months.”
